Beautifully executed by Sambourne using pen, ink, watercolour and gouache.

Sambourne was a cartoonist and illustrator, most famously for 'PUNCH' magazine.

Inscribed and signed with intials verso by Sambourne: 'Presented to J. Ackers Esq. by E.L.S. ... January 18[6]8'.

In very good condition with light, minor foxing and some minor wear and note a small 'chip' or loss at nose area of the face (see multiple photographs).
